Tottori-Vermont Youth Environmental Leadership Exchange

Green Across the Pacific and Mt. Abraham Union High School are looking for a few Vermont high school students to join us for a trip to Tottori Prefecture, Japan.  While in Tottori, you will meet local high school students and enjoy home stays.  Tottori Prefectural International Exchange Foundation will organize a schedule for us centered on Environment and Cultural Exchange.  You will experience a program designed by the Japanese different from the typical American tourist experience.

Approximate Dates: 4-19-2012 to 4-30-2012.

Cost: $1,590 plus airfare.  This includes room, board and program expenses.  We work with consolidators to find the best airfare available.

Financial Support: We may be able to offer modest, need based assistance toward the tuition fee, but not airfare.  We can prepare a letter to help support your fundraising efforts.

Application Process:  Informal for this program.  You will be interviewed by someone at Green Across the Pacific and we will ask to speak with several of your teachers or mentors.  You can look at the application questions for our China program to get a sense of the kind of questions that we will ask during an interview.
